Federal safety guidelines set by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CSPS) and standards set by the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) for impact to the playground surface require that play areas have an in impact attenuating surface to reduce the chance of injuries due to falls.  Our carpet covered safety surfacing helps to cushion bumps and bruises caused from falls, even at ground level, and has a fall height rating of 6 feet per ASTM testing.  Benefits of KoalaPlay Surface over other existing solutions including rubber tiles and pour-in-place are:
